About the agency
THE HISTORICAL RESEARCH AGENCY was established in 2002 by Kate Spiers, an arts graduate with over ten years experience working with historical documents, initially at Oxfordshire Record Office and then within the fields of publishing, academia and media. She has undertaken a wide variety of research projects for heritage organisations, land agents, country house consultancies and television production companies.
Kate has also written articles with an historical or heritage theme for such magazines asThe Countryman, Bath Life, Somerset LifeandCountry Living.She has just finished working on a visitor guidebook for the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.
Where source material calls for translation or interpretation, the Agency works with London-based medieval historian Dr Nick Barratt.
